As the Executive Director of the Afghan Social Marketing Organization (ASMO), it is both an honor and a privilege to share our vision and commitment to transforming the health and wellbeing of millions of Afghans particularly women and children. We believe that every Afghan deserves equitable access to quality essential healthcare products and services. Since our inception in 2008, ASMO has been dedicated to bridging health equity gaps across our diverse nation, ensuring that every Afghan has the opportunity to lead a healthy and happy life.

Through implementing innovative community-based initiatives and working with a strong network of 3,000 pharmacies and 500 midwifery clinics and numerous private hospitals in five major provinces of Afghanistan, combined with indirect coverage in 200 cities and districts across 27 provinces, we ensure that essential health, nutrition, and WASH products and services are accessible, affordable, and of the highest quality, even in the most underserved areas.

In our pursuit of social marketing and positive behavior change, we conduct comprehensive awareness campaigns utilizing mass media, social media, and community mobilization to create demand and promote the consistent use of quality FP, Nutrition and WASH products and services and empower individuals and communities to make informed health choices.

At ASMO, we understand the importance of strengthening the health system. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to enhance the capabilities of both private and public healthcare providers, enhance healthcare infrastructure and service delivery, ensuring that primary healthcare services meet the highest standards and effectively address existing health challenges.
