Enhance Health Seeking Behavior

Enhancing health-seeking behavior is crucial for improving the health outcomes of communities, as it encourages individuals to utilize essential health services, adopt healthy practices, and make informed health choices. Social Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) plays a vital role in addressing barriers to health service use and promoting positive health behaviors. By effectively communicating key health messages and engaging communities, SBCC fosters an environment where health-seeking becomes a norm, ultimately contributing to better overall health and well-being.

To achieve these objectives, ASMO will implement the following initiatives:

Initiative 1

Implement Social Behavior Change Communication

ASMO is committed to promoting the adoption of essential health products and healthy practices through targeted SBCC campaigns. These will include mass media campaigns, outdoor advertisements, and extensive radio broadcasts to ensure wide reach, especially in urban areas, given the restrictions on visual media. By integrating messages into social media strategies, including YouTube, ASMO aims to engage customers effectively. Interpersonal communication strategies will also be employed, with training provided to healthcare workers to enhance patient interactions and increase access to health information. A market segmentation analysis, will inform future campaigns by identifying opportunities and barriers to behavior change based on the latest health data.

Initiative 2

Strengthening Community Engagement

To foster collaboration among local populations, ASMO will enhance community engagement by conducting workshops and forums that encourage dialogue on health concerns. By partnering with local organizations, community leaders, and influencers, ASMO aims to disseminate health information that resonates culturally. Building trust within these networks promotes collective action and supports health initiatives, increasing the uptake of essential health products. The focus will also be on addressing specific community challenges such as access barriers and cultural taboos, with a particular emphasis on engaging women and youth key decision-makers in family health. This approach will enable ASMO to adapt its strategies based on emerging community needs, fostering sustainable health improvements.

Initiative 3

Promote the Use of FP, Nutrition & WASH Products

ASMO will implement several promotional strategies to generate demand for family planning, nutrition, and WASH products. This includes developing point-of-purchase materials like posters and wall paintings to enhance visibility in strategic locations. Giveaways, such as informational leaflets and branded items, will further inform potential clients about ASMO’s offerings. WhatsApp groups will facilitate regular updates to healthcare providers, while detailing and medical provider events will motivate prescribing and recommending ASMO products. Email marketing will target health organizations to generate bulk orders, and trade promotions will help secure shelf space for products with low retail penetration, promoting availability alongside mass media campaigns.
